Sameera Madani is a Saudi journalist and TV broadcaster and a winner of the Best Arab Broadcaster Award 2018. 

She is currently working as a broadcaster for the MBC group. 

Madani began her career as a journalist at Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper. She later became the head of the female section at the newspaper. 

Madani later joined the Saudi National TV channel where she hosted a morning show, which was her first TV appearance. In December 2011, she joined the MBC group and became one of the hosts of the Kalam Nawaem talk show. 

The show is considered one of the top 10 shows in the Arab region. It highlights different social issues in the Arab world. She also works for the morning show Sabah Al-Khair Ya Arab from Jeddah studios. 

Madani was the first female Saudi correspondent to cover Saudi Arabia’s Operation Decisive Storm from the Saudi-Yemeni border. 

She also has been a columnist for some publications such as Rotana Magazine and Elaph Electronic newspaper. 

Madani holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Jeddah’s King Abdul Aziz University. 

Moreover, she has participated in and organized several social and educational events and projects. In addition to her career in the media, she works as a family specialist at Smow Al-Fikr Center in Jeddah.

The third Arab Women’s Festival for Creativity held in the Media City in Cairo, awarded Sameera Madani with the Best Arab Broadcaster Award of 2018. 

“The journalist does not think of any prize and does not prepare for it; a journalist should only do his or her work conscientiously knowing that it will be appreciated one day,” she said commenting on her achievement.
